Interesting. Josephine Turalba’s installation “SCANDALS” invited audiences to wear sandals made of bullet shells and walk around the space showcasing negative images taken during the American period. The work is part of the exhibition “Grounded” running until August 3, 2013 at the Lopez Museum and Library in Ortigas.   From the museum pamphlet: GROUNDED is a literal and methaporial take on notions of rootedness, engagement, and mobility in scapes and interventions within and without these referenced sites. This broadly interpreted theme is paralleled alongside pieces from the Lopez museum and library collection.
